Q: How much does your service cost?

 

A: Our service is 100% free, without any hidden costs. In fact, the HKMA has prohibited mortgage brokers to charge clients service fees. We derive our income from banks, not you!

Q: What personal information should I give you?

 

A: This depends  on the depth of service you want from our mortgage specialists. Borrowers with solid income who just want to know which banks have the best mortgage plans do not need to give us their in-depth  personal information. They simply contact us for rates shopping and then they go to the banks to apply mortgage themselves. For those with less solid income or have experienced various hurdles in mortgage applications causing them to come to us and seek help, we do need more information about their circumstances in order to come up with a solution for them. If demanded, we can even collect information from clients and apply to the banks on their behalf leveraging our network with banks, thereby increasing speed and odds of approval. We comply with the Privacy Act of Hong Kong when it comes to safeguarding and protecting clients’ information.

Q: Will my interest rate be higher if I am referred by you to the bank?

 

A: Absolutely not because banks charge interest rates according to income and risk profile of clients, not by channels of referrals, and that is the HKMA guideline. Clients who are referred by us will not be charged higher interest rates by banks. In fact, very often, the interest rate is lower because we have the most updated information of mortgage pricing by each bank. When banks start to cut interest rate or roll out special limited time offer, mortgage brokers usually are the first ones to know and will inform clients accordingly.
